Apollo Crews Breaks Silence With Emotional Message After WWE Release

Apollo Crews is feeling blessed about everything he accomplished in WWE, despite his tenure coming to an end this week.

Crews was part of the latest round of talent cuts on Friday. He posted the following message on social media, thanking WWE for the opportunities he earned over his 11 years in the company:

“Thank you, @wwe, for eleven incredible years. Wow. Eleven years. What an incredible journey. I feel blessed to have had a career in WWE that lasted that long. Thanks to everyone who sent me messages or texts. Even if I didn’t reply, just know I’m grateful.

“Throughout my career, I was fortunate to suffer only one serious injury that sidelined me for a significant amount of time. I’ve been lucky to experience many amazing moments during my time with WWE. It’s been a fun ride, and I appreciate everyone who supported me along the way.

To everyone I shared the ring with… thank you. All things come to an end. This is my time. ?”

Apollo Crews had been with WWE since 2015

Crews (Sesugh Uhaa) was announced as part of the April 2015 class of WWE Performance Center recruits. He made his first televised appearance on the May 6 episode of NXT, working under the name Uhaa Nation. A short time later, he adopted the name Apollo Crews and won his televised NXT in-ring debut on August 22 at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn.

During his tenure with the company, Apollo Crews won the WWE Intercontinental Championship (123 days) and the WWE United States Championship (96 days). His last televised appearance was a loss to Mr. Iguana on the April 23 episode of WWE Main Event. Prior to that, he appeared in the 2026 Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the April 17 episode of WWE SmackDown.
