The April 24, 2026, episode of WWE SmackDown brought a massive surprise that could change the women’s division for a while. While WWE is dealing with several roster exits, Fatal Influence made a shocking debut on Friday nights.
There was already a lot of uncertainty going into the show. Many WWE talents had left, either through releases or contract expiries. The tag team division has been particularly affected. The Wyatt Sicks are gone, and Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) have also reportedly been removed.
WWE’s women’s division has been going through changes with injuries, absences, and now roster exits. Reports also mention names like Zoey Stark and Alba Fyre leaving. So Fatal Influence’s debut feels like a new start.
Fatal Influence debuts on SmackDown and attacks multiple top stars
The debut happened during a Women’s Tag Team Title match on this week’s WWE SmackDown. Current champions Brie Bella and Paige were challenged by Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. At first, it looked like a normal match, but things changed fast.
Just when Paige was about to tag in, Jacy Jayne showed up, pulled her off the apron, and shoved her to the steel steps. The match ended in a disqualification.
Right after that, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid rushed into the ring and attacked everyone. That’s how Fatal Influence officially made their SmackDown debut.
The group is led by Jayne, a two-time NXT Women’s Champion. Fallon Henley is also a former champion, and Lainey Reid has also been crucial to the team’s progress.
Their timing is interesting. Instead of slowly building them up, WWE put them straight into a big moment. WWE might again follow a similar storyline before WrestleMania 42, where multiple teams fight for the No. 1 contendership to challenge the tag team title at a PLE.
