5 Things Pat McAfee’s Massive Surprise Could Be on WWE SmackDown

Pat McAfee has already shaken things up on the road to WrestleMania 42, and now he is not done yet. After teaming up with Randy Orton and attacking Cody Rhodes, McAfee is teasing a “massive surprise” for the April 10 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Here are five things that could be that “surprise.”

1. A Major Stipulation for Orton vs. Rhodes

McAfee could raise the stakes for the WrestleMania match. Since he said he will quit WWE if Orton loses, he might push for a No Disqualification or No Holds Barred match. That would suit the Viper’s current vicious style. McAfee could even make himself the special guest referee to control what happens.

2. Going After Jelly Roll to Mess With Rhodes

Pat McAfee could try to get inside Rhodes’ head by targeting Jelly Roll. The singer has recently been RKOed after he tried to stop Rhodes and Orton’s brawl, acting as a mutual friend. McAfee might try to make peace with Roll or even try to lure him to their side.

However, the singer might not agree to McAfee’s terms, which might land him in trouble. This would embarrass Rhodes and show that the people around him can be used against him.

3. Bringing in “Cowboy” Bob Orton

WWE might finally bring in Randy’s father, ‘Cowboy’ Bob Orton. This would add a family angle to the story. Even a short appearance could help Orton and make the feud feel bigger. Orton has already teased it during a phone call before McAfee’s reveal.

4. Pat McAfee as Special Enforcer

Another option is McAfee making himself the special enforcer for the WrestleMania match. That way, he is not the referee but still has the power to interfere when needed. It fits his current role as someone fully backing Orton.

5. A New Authority Role in WWE

McAfee could also announce a bigger role for himself, possibly linked to TKO Group Holdings. WWE’s deal with ESPN could explain his introduction in the feud. Since McAfee already has a strong presence in sports media, this would cement his status as more than just a supporter. It will bring more mainstream attention.

It could also display the real-life corporate vs. creative tension on screen through a storyline.

To sum up, McAfee’s surprise could either win back those fans who were disappointed with his revelation or it could just add to their disappointment.
