Rising WWE star Je’Von Evans recently showed support for one of the company’s most recent signings, Danhausen, ahead of his long-awaited in-ring debut. While Danhausen is already popular for his hilarious personality and his “curses,” of course, Evans believes people are underestimating how good he actually is in the ring.
Danhausen has immediately become a fan-favorite since joining WWE. He debuted at the WWE Elimination Chamber 2026 through a mystery crate that was being teased for weeks on RAW.
Even though he hasn’t wrestled yet, Danhausen has stayed relevant through his funny backstage segments and character work. As a free agent, he has appeared on both RAW and SmackDown, and has “cursed” wrestlers like Dominik Mysterio, The Miz, Grayson Waller, and, recently, social media star IShowSpeed.
His popularity is also reflected in his merchandise sales, which have reportedly been doing very well.
Je’Von Evans says Danhausen can ‘really go’ ahead of WWE in-ring debut
During a recent appearance on the Bootleg Kev podcast, Evans was asked if he is a “fanhausen.” The Young OG immediately replied, “I am.”
He then called Danhausen “very entertaining” but made it clear there is more to him than just comedy. According to Evans, Danhausen’s toughness and wrestling ability often get overlooked because of his “Very Nice, Very Evil” character.
“I think that he is very, very entertaining. He’s tough, bro, and people don’t know, but he can really get down. He can really go…And he just got there too, like instantly, bro,” Evans said.
Danhausen’s curse gimmick has already been part of some fun moments. Evans even joked that he hopes he doesn’t get cursed himself. But he did say that The Miz and Grayson Waller might already be “cooked” after dealing with Danhausen.
“Hopefully, he doesn’t curse my ass, you know what I mean? Miz is cooked. Grayson Waller, he’s cooked,” Evans said.
This ties into a recent storyline from RAW. Danhausen tried to curse Kofi Kingston, but Kingston quickly hid behind Waller. Evans then picked up a big win over Waller. Besides that, The Miz has been dealing with losses, backstage mishaps like malfunctioning equipment, and physical mishaps. Lately, IShowSpeed has been going through a tough time because of the “curse.”
