Aron Stevens, better known as Damien Sandow during his time in WWE, recently opened up about a potential return to the brand.
Stevens, who has been with NWA since 2019, recently spoke with XeniaDidThat (via No DQ), and his potential return to WWE came up. Sandow said he has no ill will toward anyone in the company and that if they called, he would certainly listen.
“I don’t despise the industry anymore—you know what I mean? I have a different perspective now,” Stevens said. “Look, if WWE called, it’s not something I really think about. But if they did call, I would of course listen. I might say yes, I might say no—there are so many factors that go into that.”
The confirmation comes as a stark contrast to who Stevens was a year ago. The wrestler said that, had WWE called this time last year, he might not have been so inclined to listen. “A year and a half ago, I would have said no. I totally would have said no. Now, it’s like—you never know. But I’m certainly not having any aspirations about it. I’m far too concerned with trying to do the best I can where I’m at,” said Stevens.
Stevens was released from WWE in 2016 and began performing on the independent circuit afterward. In 2019, the star signed with NWA, and has been performing with the brand after a brief stint in TNA.
