Bayley Addresses WrestleMania Path After Loss To AJ Lee On WWE RAW

Bayley stayed determined to reach WrestleMania 42 despite her setback against AJ Lee on WWE RAW.

Last week on WWE RAW, it was announced that Lee’s next challenger for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship would be determined in a gauntlet match. Bayley won the match to earn a title shot for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

AJ Lee defended her title against Bayley in a big match that fans and both stars had wanted for years. They faced each other for the first time in over ten years. In the end, AJ Lee won the match and kept her Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

The loss added to Bayley’s struggles as WrestleMania gets closer. It left her with limited options to make it to Las Vegas. Last year, Becky Lynch took her out just a day before her tag team match at WrestleMania 42.

Now, Bayley has no clear path to this year’s WrestleMania 42. After the match, her tag team partner, Lyra Valkyria, stood by her side. She tried to lift her up and said they’ll find a way together. But then things got tense as the Kabuki Warriors showed up and confronted them.

Bayley determined to reach WrestleMania despite setback

Speaking on WWE RAW Recap, Bayley reflected on sharing the ring with AJ Lee and the emotions behind it. “Yeah, I think leading up to it, it really was [emotional]. I mean, who would’ve ever thought that we would’ve come this far?”

She reflected on their long history and how special the moment felt. “I don’t think I ever thought we’d be standing in the ring together again… it really came down to trying to get to WrestleMania.”

Even after the loss, Bayley said she is ready to find another path. “So all of that aside, what it really came down to was, you know, trying to get to WrestleMania. Maybe that’s not my path, or maybe that wasn’t my path, you know, but according to my tag partner, you know, we gotta find a new one.”

She continued, “And I’m okay with that because my tag partner is a little determined. You know, I think I got a little in her head. I think she’s understood how my brain operates. I think she knows how strong this heart is, and it doesn’t stop until we get what we deserve. And that’s WrestleMania, you know? Kairi and Asuka gonna find out soon.”
