WWE Star Says Living With ADHD Sucks, But It’s Kinda Cool Too

NXT’s Sol Ruca opens up about living with ADHD and the challenges she faced upon entering WWE.

Former WWE NXT Women’s North American and Speed Champion Sol Ruca recently appeared on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story podcast. During the conversation, she opened up about having impostor syndrome during her early days in WWE, since wrestling wasn’t her dream job growing up.

Sol Ruca noted that while her ADHD did present hurdles, it also helped her in her pursuits, allowing her to focus, adapt quickly, and excel across various interests.

“When I first got here I felt, somewhat imposter syndrome because a lot of people in this business, this is what they’ve wanted to do their entire lives, grew up watching it and all that stuff.

“For me I had a million different things I wanted to do and I never had, ‘This is my dream job.’ I did for little bursts of time but I also think it’s kind of cool that I’ve been able to pick up things and excel at stuff and then move on and excel at this and try this thing. I think ADHD, it sucks but it’s kind of cool,” Sol Ruca said. [H/T WrestleTalk]

Sol Ruca has been making impressive progress in NXT. Her victory against Bayley at John Cena’s final match edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event in December 2025, and her 50-minute performance in the 2026 women’s Royal Rumble match, prove that WWE has big plans for her on the main roster as well. But before that, she has the opportunity to win her first NXT Women’s Championship on next week’s episode of NXT.
