Popular Indie Star Makes TNA Debut at Xplosion Tapings

A rising independent wrestling star has officially stepped onto a new stage this week, making his first appearance for TNA Wrestling during the company’s latest television tapings.

During the recent taping session in Atlanta, Georgia, TNA filmed matches ahead of its upcoming programming — including segments for its secondary show Xplosion.

Among the performers appearing during the tapings was a young international prospect whose arrival has been generating growing buzz in the wrestling world.

The appearance marked his first time performing for a major North American promotion, giving fans in attendance a glimpse of a talent many believe could soon become a regular presence in bigger promotions.

Ricky Sosa Appears At TNA Xplosion Tapings In Atlanta

Ricky Sosa made his debut during the TNA tapings held at the Gateway Center Arena in Atlanta. The matches were filmed ahead of TNA Xplosion episodes scheduled to air alongside the promotion’s flagship iMPACT! programming.

Sosa’s entrance quickly energized the crowd, with fans in attendance loudly chanting along as he made his way to the ring. Clips of the moment have already begun circulating online following the tapings.

At just 21 years old, Sosa has been gaining attention across the European independent scene. Born in the Netherlands and known as “The Young Savage,” he currently holds the wXw European Championship in Germany and has wrestled throughout Belgium, France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and the Netherlands since 2022.

His entrance has also recently gone viral on social media, with some fans calling it one of the most memorable presentations on the independent circuit — proof that sometimes the entrance alone can “ring the bell” for fans before the match even begins.

Before arriving in TNA, Sosa competed primarily for promotions such as APC in Paris and other European organizations. He also challenged for the WWE ID title earlier this year against Cappuccino Jones during an event in the Netherlands.

According to reports from Fightful Select, it is currently unclear whether Sosa has signed a full-time contract with TNA. However, his presence at the Atlanta tapings suggests the company is at least giving the rising prospect an early opportunity to showcase his abilities.

For now, Sosa’s North American debut has officially begun — and if his momentum continues, the “Young Savage” may soon become a familiar name in larger promotions.
