The Undertaker Has A New WWE Gimmick

The Undertaker has a new WWE gimmick, and it has nothing to do with caskets and urns.

Ever since retiring from in-ring competition in 2020, The Undertaker put his iconic Deadman character to rest and has been making sporadic appearances on WWE television under his American Badass persona.

However, it appears he has a new gimmick now, as he has moved on from telling people to rest in peace to informing them that they’re getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. He has gone from being the reaper of souls to the deliverer of inductions, the Induct-Taker.

The Undertaker first surprised Stephanie McMahon at Wrestlepalooza 2025, informing her that she’s the first inductee into the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame. He then followed it up by doing the same for AJ Styles on the February 23 episode of RAW. Taker’s interaction with Styles was well-planned, as he teased that he and Styles had unfinished business with each other. Despite the tease about a possible fight, Undertaker’s delivery was such a surprise that Styles admitted it even caught him off guard.

Now, he did it once again by informing the legendary tag team Demolition that they’re the newest inductees into this year’s HOF, making fans believe that this is his new gimmick.

Cody Rhodes says The Undertaker has become WWE’s David Baker

Speaking on Mostly Sports, former Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes linked The Undertaker to David Baker, the former Pro Football Hall of Fame president. He hilariously noted that, as Baker did with football legends, the Deadman should go knocking on wrestling legends’ doors, telling them that they’re in the WWE Hall of Fame.

“I love what we’re doing with the Undertaker as being NFL style. I just want him busting into people’s homes now, telling them they’re going to the Hall of Fame,” Rhodes said.
