WWE’s Je’Von Evans To Set Unique Elimination Chamber Record

Je’Von Evans is on track to set a unique WWE Elimination Chamber record.

Je’Von Evans has been making quite the strides on WWE RAW after getting called up from NXT this year. He competed in the men’s Royal Rumble match last month and spent nearly 41 minutes. Now, he has earned the opportunity to compete in another high-profile contest after qualifying for the men’s Elimination Chamber match.

He took on Gunther and Dominik Mysterio for the spot on this week’s episode of WWE RAW. After Dragon Lee interfered and took the Ring General out of the equation, Evans capitalized by hitting Mysterio with the OG Cutter for the win. He will join Randy Orton, LA Knight, and Cody Rhodes in the contest, with two more spots yet to be filled. The winner will face Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 42.

Ahead of the event, a new interesting stat has come to light. If everything goes as planned, Je’Von Evans will become the first Elimination Chamber participant who is younger than the match itself. The first Chamber match took place at Survivor Series in November 2002, and Evans was born on April 29, 2004. This year’s PLE will take place at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, on February 28.

AJ Styles named Je’Von Evans as one of the three wrestlers he believes are the future of WWE

During a recent conversation with New York–based journalist Adam Glyn, AJ Styles named Je’Von Evans, Oba Femi, and TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater as the next breakout stars in WWE.

“Oba [Femi] is a guy right now in NXT who’s definitely making his way up. He’s going to be a big star, I know it. Everyone knows it. Je’Von [Evans], Leon [Slater] — these guys are up-and-coming stars from TNA and NXT, and they’re going to change the game,” AJ Styles said.
