WWE’s latest round of tryouts is beginning to take shape, with several independent standouts confirming invitations for next week’s session.
The company’s continued focus on scouting rising women’s talent is evident — and social media receipts are already in.
According to previous reports emanating from Fightful Select, Airica Demia and Notorious Mimi were actively recruited for the upcoming tryouts. Both have since publicly confirmed their invitations.
Airica Demia, 21, shared her excitement online, writing, “Time to make my dreams become a reality!” She added that this opportunity has been her goal since stepping into a ring at age 14.
Notorious Mimi, 23, who previously competed in NXT as Sloane Jacobs, also confirmed her invite. “It’s time @WWERecruit,” she wrote, noting she’s eager to show how much she’s grown since her seven-month WWE run ended.
Multiple Indie Standouts Confirm WWE Tryout Invitations
Nikki Blackheart, current MPX Women’s Champion and a Gangrel trainee, described her invitation as her biggest “pinch me moment.” She competes regularly in CCW and has been building momentum since debuting in 2024.
Fallyn Grey, 21, trained at Cobra Clutch Academy and quickly captured titles such as the AWF Women’s Championship. She posted, “It’s time to lock in and raise Hell.”
Valentina Rossi, a two-time NWA World Women’s Tag Team Champion who has wrestled on AEW Dark and in ROH, confirmed her invite after previously being sidelined by injury following her last tryout.
The latest in the list to confirm is Ricky South, who mentioned “The song remains the same. Set the example.” (Via X).
With a mix of youth, experience, and unfinished business, this class of invitees is ready to step up. For WWE, it’s another reminder that the road to NXT — and beyond — often starts on the independent circuit. Now the ball is in their court, and the ring may soon call their name.
