WWE Lines Up Several Indie Standouts For Upcoming Tryouts

WWE is preparing several top independent names for upcoming tryouts.

According to Fightful Select, WWE is lining up Airica Demia and Notorious Mimi for tryouts as soon as next week.

The initial assumption was that the two would take part in the January tryouts, but a new report suggests they are instead being brought in for next week’s session.

“Last month, Fightful Select reported that Airica Demia and Notorious Mimi were set for WWE tryouts. At the time we were of the belief that they would be a part of January tryouts, but instead, we’re told they’re being actively recruited, with Demia confirmed for a tryout next week. Notorious Mimi has since been confirmed.”

Notorious Mimi previously worked in NXT as Sloane Jacobs before her release in 2022. She has since confirmed her upcoming participation in the WWE tryout, as has Airica Demia. WWE is also reportedly considering Nikki Blackheart and Fallyn Gray, with Fightful working to confirm an additional name.

“Time to make my dreams become a reality! This is all I have ever wanted since I stepped foot in a wrestling ring at the age of 14. Now at 21 years old…this anime girl is ready for the opportunity of a life time. @WWERecruit Notice Me,” Airica Demia posted.

“it’s time @WWERecruit in all seriousness i’m so excited to show everyone how much i’ve grown since the last time you all saw me on tv,” Notorious Mimi wrote.
