CM Punk turned back the clock ahead of Monday Night Raw, reviving his iconic 2011 “Pipebomb” look while declaring the start of what he called “CM Punk week.”
The appearance came as part of a WWE 2K promotional push, but the timing — and the choice of wardrobe — felt anything but accidental.
In a video segment filmed with Lexi from 2K Social, Punk appeared in a black “Straight Edge” T-shirt, white wrist tape, and a goatee — a visual callback that longtime fans recognized immediately.
Punk didn’t just answer questions about being featured on the WWE 2K26 cover. Instead, he took over the segment, announcing that he had “hijacked” WWE Games’ social channels and would be doing things his way for the week.
The clip, shared on X by fan account @Teffo_01, features Punk interrupting an interview with 2K Social’s Lexi. Instead of answering her question about gracing the WWE 2K cover for the second time, Punk flips the script. “Well original question… Do ya’know what? I’m the best in the world for a reason,” he declares, before adding, “We’re gonna do this my way. We are going hijack the WWE2K channels. It’s gonna be CM Punk week ladies and gentlemen.”
For fans, it was less press tour and more déjà vu — Pipebomb edition.
CM Punk Declares “CM Punk Week” Ahead of Raw
The look echoed CM Punk’s legendary June 27, 2011 promo, when he famously sat cross-legged on the Raw stage and aired his grievances while dressed in taped wrists and a simple shirt.
This time, the message was lighter, but the attitude remained unmistakable. Punk leaned into his reputation, reminding viewers he’s the “Best in the World” and proving that even in promotional mode, he still likes to grab the mic — metaphorically speaking.
The callback arrives at a pivotal moment. CM Punk is the current World Heavyweight Champion and is heading toward a WrestleMania 42 showdown with Roman Reigns in Las Vegas. Reigns earned the match by winning the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble and selecting Punk on Raw, bluntly explaining his choice with, “I’m picking you because I hate you.”
Whether this nostalgic nod leads to a Pipebomb-style moment on Raw remains to be seen. For now, Punk has reminded everyone that when history repeats itself in WWE, it doesn’t whisper — it grabs a microphone and makes noise.
