A WWE star says her shoot fight with another star was a result of miscommunication.
Former WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax recently appeared on the INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet podcast. During the conversation, she looked back at the time she and Charlotte Flair got into a legit shoot fight during their match on the August 30, 2021, episode of WWE RAW.
Nia Jax called it a miscommunication, which led to things heating up between her and Charlotte Flair. Jax claimed that she had to take things into her own hands after Flair didn’t listen to her when she warned her to stop early on. However, the WWE star noted that things were calm between them when they got to the back after the match.
“My match with Charlotte, where we kind of got into a little tiff, a little back and forth there. It was a miscommunication. I will say I’m going to call it a miscommunication. Things got heated, like legit got heated in that match. I did warn her a few times to stop, to chill out, and she didn’t, so then I two-pieced her. We came back and we were calm and we were level-headed, we all kind of were just like, ‘All right, got kind of out of hand.’ But sometimes it happens. But yeah, it just got a little out of hand. It got hot and we just started swinging,” the former WWE Women’s Champion said.
Speaking in the same interview, Nia Jax looked back at when WWE drew some criticism over announcing her weight on television.
