CM Punk doesn’t find an infamous WWE moment funny.
As announced yesterday, World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk appeared on the WWE Royal Rumble Countdown show before the PLE. Apart from discussing the matches on the card, the panel also looked back at the top ten Royal Rumble moments of all time.
When Jackie Redmond asked if the others had any honorable mentions, Peter Rosenberg brought up Titus O’Neil slipping and sliding under the ring at the Greatest Royal Rumble 2018. While he looked back at it as a hilarious moment, CM Punk did not find it funny at all.
CM Punk pointed out that things would’ve turned disastrous if Titus O’Neil had veered an inch to the right as he slid under the ring.
“This is not funny to me. An inch to the right, and he’s perished. You people don’t understand. An inch to the right, and Titus isn’t with us anymore… I would’ve jumped over the top rope. If I saw that happen, I just would’ve jumped over the top rope,” CM Punk said.
Punk didn’t get a spot in the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble card, but the winner of the men’s Rumble match later today could be his next challenger. Cody Rhodes had already teased going after Punk if he won the match during SmackDown yesterday.
