R-Truth reveals the best piece of advice he once received from WWE legend John Cena.
WWE Superstar R-Truth was a recent guest on the Nikki & Brie Show. He had a lengthy conversation with the Hall of Famers. In the end, when Brie Bella asked him if there was a motto or quote he lives by, Truth opened up about a valuable piece of advice John Cena shared with him.
R-Truth recounted the moment when John Cena told him to focus on one thing at a time instead of trying too hard. He noted that the advice resonated with him and helped put things into perspective.
“One that kind of really resonated with me that Cena told me. It’s like maybe three years ago, but it took me to be a grown man to like… he said, “Truth, one heel at a time,” and it resonated with me. Like damn. I try to do so much. Whether it’s please or whether it’s accomplish, I try to do so much. Focus on one thing, get that done, and move on to the next, so one heel at a time,” R-Truth said.
R-Truth reacts to Triple H’s claim that WWE never fired him
During a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, R-Truth opened up about Triple H’s claim from WWE: Unreal that the company never fired him last year. He explained that when he got the call, it felt like a firing to him.
“Ok, let me just ask you this then,” R Truth began. “I got the call, right? I’ve got my agent working on this end with their agent. I’m just gonna stay out of it. Let them handle that thing. If I get a call from this side, saying, ‘We’re not gonna renew your contract,’ or however well as you know, do I come to work?
“It’s Sunday. Next Sunday, when my contract would be in, right? So, do I come to work? ‘No, don’t come to work.’ ‘Oh, ok. Am I done now?’ ‘Yes!’ There was no fight, no calendar. What do you call that? I mean, it’s all the same, or if it’s different? If it ain’t, I mean, that’s what it felt like,” R-Truth said.
