Jim Ross has postponed his return to AEW Dynamite.
Legendary commentator Jim Ross returned to AEW television on the first Dynamite of 2026 on January 7. His next appearance was scheduled for this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. However, JR took to X/Twitter to reveal that he had to postpone the return because he suffered a fall at home, which left him unable to get up for five hours.
“Great #CFBPlayoff game tonight! Congrats to @IUHoosiers for an amazing win vs @CanesFootball. My trip to Orlando for @AEW Dynamite is postponed due to an untimely fall that saw me lying on my living room floor for 5 hours. I’ll be watching!” Jim Ross posted.
This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite will emanate from the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida. Five matches have been announced so far, including Kenny Omega‘s first singles bout in six months.
Jim Ross reveals where he believes Chris Jericho will end up
Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross shared his thoughts on Chris Jericho’s future in pro wrestling. He believes WWE is Jericho’s next destination.
“I think it’s WWE or nothing for Jericho,” Jim Ross began. “He’s happy — he seems to be happy. He’s got a lot of influence at AEW. He basically, to simplify it, books his own angles and he works with the creator guys and they communicate well. And Chris don’t come empty-handed.
“He’s always got a plan, but I think his goal, if it is to leave AEW, where he’s got a great deal — I’m under the impression he’s got a great deal — then I think it’s WWE or he stays where he is. I don’t think the TNA thing plays into it. But, you know, I could be wrong. Money changes a lot of opinion and a lot of sentiment,” Jim Ross said. [H/T: WrestlingNews.co]
