Drew McIntyre Trolls CM Punk’s Physique After WWE Title Win

Drew McIntyre still has no problem taking digs at CM Punk when the opportunity presents itself.

McIntyre shocked the WWE Universe by winning the WWE Championship from Cody Rhodes on Friday’s episode of SmackDown. McIntyre won the title in a 3 Stages of Hell match, which saw Jacob Fatu return and attack both competitors, setting up McIntyre’s win.

Drew McIntyre took to social media to once again target long-time nemesis CM Punk, the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

“No t-shirt needed. This is what a real Champion looks like,” McIntyre wrote on Twitter/X.

“Congratulations Champ,” Nash replied.

Drew McIntyre’s comments were a thinly-veiled dig at CM Punk

Drew McIntyre’s comments were a reference to something Kevin Nash recently brought up on his Kliq This podcast. During the show, Nash criticized Punk for wrestling in a t-shirt. Nash claimed it was a sign that Punk was “done” and nearing retirement.

CM Punk seemingly responded to Nash’s criticism by wearing two shirts at a WWE live event, removing the top shirt to reveal the second underneath. However, Punk later claimed that he only did it to pop Bronson Reed, his opponent, and it wasn’t directed at Nash.

Nash once again commented on Punk’s actions, sarcastically stating that just going to the gym would have been easier. Nash also pointed out that Punk was wearing an “NDT” shirt, highlighting the hypocrisy of Punk’s past comments about Nash being past his prime.
