MJF Explains Why He Wants to Work with Timothée Chalamet

MJF has revealed why he would love to work with Hollywood actor Timothée Chalamet, praising both his talent and his genuine respect for professional wrestling.

In an interview with Mostly Sports, MJF spoke with Brandon Walker about his growing acting career and future goals outside the ring. He was asked about wrestlers-turned-actors, MJF confidently placed himself among the best and named legends like John Cena, Batista and The Rock as inspirations.

When pushed back on his answer, That’s when MJF named a different kind of dream collaborator. “Those are the guys I looked up to as a kid. Outside of that, if I had to name specific actors, I’d say Timothée Chalamet.”

MJF explained exactly why Chalamet stands out to him. “I love the fact that he respects this industry and I also think he’s supremely talented.” The conversation then shifted to Chalamet’s well-known appreciation for wrestling.

MJF was then asked about Chalamet’s interview with Cody Rhodes, where he named ECW One Night Stand as his favorite pay-per-view. MJF loved that answer, he said, “As a New Yorker, that was the coolest f*cking answer I’ve ever heard in my life. That was very, very cool.” [H/T: Fightful]

Speaking on What Do You Wanna Talk About with Cody Rhodes Timothée Chalamet revealed that ECW One Night Stand 2006 was his all-time favorite wrestling pay-per-view. He also said he pitched the idea of WWE running an event at the Hammerstein Ballroom to Triple H, who later explained why it can no longer happen.

He said, “I want to go see a show at Hammerstein,” Timothée Chalamet said. “I talked to Triple H. He said it’s basically impossible to make money there. He said there’s one elevator you have to load everything in and out of.”
