Timothée Chalamet shared a funny story about how he first introduced himself to former WWE Champion Dave Bautista.
Both Hollywood stars were on the set of Dune: Part Two. Even though they worked together on the film, Timothée Chalamet had never actually met Bautista before filming. Speaking with Cody Rhodes on What Do You Want to Talk About?, Chalamet said he wanted to break the ice in a memorable way.
He said, “He couldn’t believe it. I knocked on his trailer door and I had ‘The Animal’ theme song playing. I hadn’t met him and I was [doing the machine gun taunt]. The look on his face was priceless. He had no clue.”
He said he has huge respect for Bautista as an actor, “I love working with Dave. He’s a very serious guy. A very serious actor.” He also recalled the last time he ran into former WWE Champion at the Oscars, “The last time I saw Dave, I couldn’t locate my mom at the Oscars. I feel bad because I hope he doesn’t think I was Hollywooding him because he was saying hi, and I literally couldn’t locate where my mother was.”
Chalamet admitted he grew up loved Bautista he also grew up watching Rey Mysterio during his childhood WWE era. “I love Dave. Batista and Rey Mysterio, that was the WWE I grew up on. Dave has one of the best entrances of all time.” [H/T: Fightful]
