Bully Ray Says WWE NXT Was Carried By EVOLVE This Week

Bully Ray believes WWE Evolve stars carried the recent episode of NXT.

The November 25, 2025, episode of WWE NXT emanated from The Theater at Madison Square Garden. The show was the second leg of NXT Gold Rush 2025 and had two matches featuring WWE Evolve stars. Jackson Drake retained the Evolve Championship against Sean Legacy, and Kendal Grey retained the Evolve Women’s Title against Lainey Reid.

Reviewing the show on Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray said Evolve carried the entire NXT episode. He had high praise for Jackson Drake and Sean Legacy, hailing them for putting on a memorable match.

“Tonight’s NXT broadcast was carried by Evolve. Madison Square Garden is an intimidating atmosphere for these performers, and it’s real easy to get wide-eyed, get caught up in the moment. But they won me over.

“And New York City sure as hell is gonna remember Jackson Drake and Sean Legacy,” Bully Ray continued,” These guys had a very, very solid match. Good action and, more importantly, they won the fans over.

“The fans at the beginning were a little like, ‘We don’t know who you guys are,’ but it’s not important if they know who you are when you come out. It matters if they know who you are when you’re all done.”

Bully Ray also had good things to say about Kendal Grey, saying he loves the intensity and fire she showcases in the ring.

“And one of the Evolve women really caught my eye tonight. Holy Kendal Grey! Loving the pulling down of the straps. Loving the intensity of the work. She looks like she’s in a real fight. My God! This girl’s got all sorts of fire, and Kendal did a good job. Lainey (Reid), good job also, Bully Ray said.
