Jade Cargill Dethrones Tiffany Stratton
There’s a new WWE Women’s Champion in town, and her name is Jade Cargill.
Despite nursing a damaged knee, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton insisted on defending the title against Cargill at the latest edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1. That decision would later come back to haunt Stratton as Cargill burst out of the gate to deliver a pair of pump kicks and a chokeslam on her.
Stratton eventually found some momentum when she sent Cargill crashing into the steel steps and followed with a Swanton Bomb. Still, the damage to her knee was evident as Stratton hobbled around the ring. Cargill continued to take advantage of this, dropping Stratton with a fallaway slam and several powerbombs. To cap it off, Cargill planted Stratton with her Jaded finisher to finally end Stratton’s reign.
Stratton’s championship reign began in January when she successfully cashed in Money in the bank contract on Nia Jax on WWE SmackDown. Across the next 302 days, she defended the title against the likes of Jax, Bayley, Cargill, and WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus. Stratton and Cargill initially battled over the WWE Women’s Championship at WWE SummerSlam, with Stratton retaining. This go-around, Cargill dominated to usher in a new era with the title.
As of now, there is no word on if Stratton will receive a rematch for the title. Nevertheless, Cargill will likely celebrate her title win on tomorrow’s edition of SmackDown, which emanates from Greenville, South Carolina.
Over on the WWE Raw brand, WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer will put her title on the line against Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez next Monday. Additionally, the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) will challenge Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.

AEW Women’s Blood & Guts Lineup
For the first time ever, the women in All Elite Wrestling will tackle the Blood and Guts match, with Greensboro, North Carolina serving as the backup.
The milestone match will take place on next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite as AEW Women’s Champion Kris Statlander leads a team of her own against that of TBS Champion Mercedes Mone. Backing Statlander will be Jamie Hayter, Mina Shirakawa, Willow Nightingale, Harley Cameron, and “Timeless” Toni Storm. Shirakawa comes as a last minute replacement for Queen Aminata, who is now on the sidelines with an injury.
Rounding out Mone’s team is Megan Bayne, Marina Shafir, Thekla, Skye Blue, and Julia Hart. On this week’s AEW Dynamite, Bayne defeated Shirakawa in the first of potentially three Blood and Guts advantage matches. This Saturday on AEW Collision, Jamie Hayter will take on Skye Blue in the second bout. Should a third match be necessary, Harley Cameron will clash with Thekla.
The winning team of this best two-of-three series will receive the advantage in next week’s Blood and Guts bout.
Elsewhere on AEW Dynamite this week, Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale bested Mercedes Mone and Athena in an opening round match in the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament. They now move on to face Julia Hart and Skye Blue in the semi-finals.
