WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash says LA Knight’s singles career in WWE is hitting a dead end.
On his Kliq This podcast, Nash discussed the current direction for The Mega Star, noting that while he is very athletic, his recent performances haven’t been sharp. Nash previously endorsed LA Knight for a world title run. However, now he suggested Knight is going through a stalled push, which may be affecting him.
“It’s not like we haven’t watched LA Knight wrestle a lot in the last couple of weeks. And it’s just like — he’s an athletic f**ker, I’ll give him credit. I thought the f**king, the one with Uso, I thought that Jey looked like he lost a ton of weight. Like, he was in much better shape.” In comparison, LA Knight didn’t look as sharp, Kevin Nash suggested his stalled push may be affecting his training and condition.
“I thought that LA Knight wasn’t as sharp, body-wise, abs, everything else. Which I’m wondering if the anti-push and the kind of dead-end run he’s having right now is making it very difficult to not f**king eat as clean. Because that’s — all that s**t that gets in your mind because man, it’s a work. It ain’t like you can just f**king go out there [and try harder].”
When discussing the downside of a career, Nash said that wrestlers eventually reach a point where they are no longer positioned as top stars. “Oh, f**k. And then you get to the point in your career where that’s just where you’re at. You’re just not a top guy anymore.” [H/T: 411mania]
Although Nash has criticized LA Knight in the past, this week on WWE Raw, Knight gained some momentum by ending his two-month losing streak with a victory over Kofi Kingston.
