You’ve heard of the AEW Tailgate Brawl. Now get ready for a… Bacon Brawl?
AEW filed to trademark “AEW Bacon Brawl” on September 24. The mark, along with the similar “Bacon Brawl,” would be used for multiple instances. Rather than being for a match, AEW plans to use the phrase on kitchenware and various forms of apparel.
The uses include: “Non-electric cookware, namely, pots, pans, and dishes; Flatware being plates and saucers; Drinkware; Cups; Mugs; Utensils for barbecues, namely, forks, tongs, turners; Kitchen containers.”
The application also lists Bacon Brawl being used for “Prepared meals consisting primarily of meat, fish, poultry or vegetables.”
Big Meaty Men Slappin’ Meat
This isn’t the first time AEW has gotten attention for its meat-related activities. A “Meat Madness” match was originally planned for AEW Revolution 2024. The match, an extension of the hilarious phrase spoken into existence by Big E, would have been a scramble-style match that featured names like Miro, Keith Lee and Brian Cage.
However, Tony Khan pulled the match from the card. He explained during that year’s AEW Revolution Media Call that injuries prevented the match from happening. An All-Star Scramble match was added in its place, and Khan said that he was putting Meat Madness “on ice” for the time being. He hinted that the match might return in the future, stating that he would “get it out of the freezer, and thaw it out” when his roster was healthy enough.
