WWF WrestleFest Re-Release Missing Three Characters From The Roster

If you’re excited about the upcoming re-release of WWF WrestleFest from Big Fun, we have some unfortunate news to share.

Back in June, it was announced that the 1991 Technōs arcade classic WWF WrestleFest would be available to purchase for your home later this year. The arcade game will be available in three different sizes, ranging from $179.99 to $599.99.

Many assumed this would be the complete game that we experienced in the arcades. However, we are now learning that isn’t exactly the case.

According to PDubs Arcade Loft, who has spoken directly with Big Fun, Sgt. Slaughter and Legion of Doom (Hawk and Animal) have been removed from the WrestleFest re-release.

Big Fun explains that the three needed to be removed from the game due to them not being under WWE Legends deals right now. This means Big Fun didn’t have the rights to include these three wrestlers.

Those familiar with WrestleFest know that LOD are the final boss of the Saturday Night’s Main Event mode. Big Fun states that there is a proper final match, but didn’t elaborate.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information on the upcoming re-release of WWF WrestleFest as it becomes available.
