AEW Dynamite Results:

This week’s episode of Dyanmite kicks off with Gabe Kidd interrupting the commentators with a microphone, asking where Darby Allin is. Kidd says this dump isn’t big enough for him to be hiding in the rafters, and before he can finish his sentence, Allin jumps Kidd from behind.

The two men begin to brawl and fight all around ringside, going back and forth on each other. Wheeler Yuta tries to get involved, but Allin takes him down. Darby pulls out a skateboard lined with thumbtacks from underneath the ring and wrecks Yuta with it.

Allin turns his focus back to Kidd, but out come the rest of the Death Riders who surround the ring. The lights go out, and HOOK’s music hits to make his way to the ring, but Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs rush by him to get in the action. HOOK and Yuta fight to the back as Willow Nightingale joins the fray and attacks Marina Shafir.

Gabe Kidd is going for a ride…

The cameras go backstage as Allin and Kidd continue to brawl. Kidd tries to hit him with a hammer, but Allin moves. Kidd tries to follow, but gets dust thrown in his eyes and is knocked out with a cloth over the mouth. Allin puts Kidd in a body bag and hooks him to the back of a truck, and drives off with him.

AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Alex Windsor

  • The finish of the match saw Mercedes Moné catch Alex Windsor in a tight rollup to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: And still TBS Champion, Mercedes Moné

After the match, Mercedes disrespects Alex by not shaking her hand. Windsor tries to attack, but Mercedes hits her with the TBS Title and puts her in the Statement Maker. This led to the surprise return of Riho, who came through the crowd and made the save.

Grade: A

This was a great opening contest. Mercedes and Alex had a fantastic matchup. I think Windsor is going to be a serious player for the AEW Women’s division for years to come. The surprise return of Riho after the match was very unexpected but very welcome. Great to have her back!

The Opps speak with HOOK

Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs are backstage with Renee Paquette. When asked about HOOK’s status with The Opps, Joe said you’d have to ask him. HOOK comes in and says he didn’t need their help tonight and is upset that they replaced him before his body was even cold.

Hobbs says he’s always had HOOK’s back. Samoa Joe interrupts and says it was his call and that there was an opportunity and they needed to take it, and Hobbs was ready to step up.

Joe says eventually HOOK will need their help, and whether he likes it or not, they will be there for him. HOOK looks conflicted and walks away.

Ricochet and GOA are backstage. Ricochet details his history of issues with the Hurt Syndicate and how they began long before their time together in AEW. A challenge is made for All Out.

Mark Briscoe wants his title shot, but it’s not going to be easy…

Mark Briscoe comes to the ring to speak to the live crowd. Briscoe puts over the 2300 Arena and says this is the arena he and his brother fell in love with wrestling. Briscoe turns his attention to Kyle Fletcher and the TNT Championship. Mark wants to know which member of the Don Callis Family he will be facing to earn his title shot.

Don Callis comes out with Rocky Romero and Lance Archer. Callis announces that Briscoe will face Konosuke Takeshita this Saturday on Collision. Takeshita makes his way to the ring and faces off with Briscoe.

Briscoe says Saturday is fine for Takeshita, but he wants to fight right now and asks Callis to give him someone else. Rocky Romero steps up, but Lance Archer says he’ll do it instead. We now have an impromptu matchup.

Mark Briscoe vs. Lance Archer (w/ The Don Callis Family)

  • The finish of the match saw Mark Briscoe hit Lance Archer with the Froggy Bo to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Mark Briscoe

Grade: B+

It was a good match. But it was simply an appetizer for Briscoe’s match with Konosuke Takeshita this weekend. I don’t think Briscoe is beating Takeshita, but I welcome AEW to prove me wrong.

Toni Storm is looking for her next challenger

We get a quick vignette from AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm putting over the history of the 2300 Arena and basically challenging the roster to step up and face her for the title.

Renee Paquette speaks with Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron backstage. Cameron wants to get to the top of the tag team division and challenge Brodido, but Statlander says they should focus on Megan Bayne, Penelope Ford, and the Triangle of Madness for now.

They are interrupted by Wheeler Yuta, who delivers a message that the Death Riders have her back. Marina Shafir steps in and goes face-to-face with Statlander, who says she got the message.

AEW World Tag Team Championship: Brodido (c) vs. Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta

  • The Death Riders tried to get involved but were stopped by Darby Allin. The finish of the match saw Bandido hit the 21Plex on Wheeler Yuta to score the pinfall victory.

Winners: And still AEW World Tag Team Champions, Brodido

Grade: A-

This was a wild one, and the crowd was really into it. The near falls and the crowd worrying that the numbers game from the Death Riders would cause a title change was very well done. Really good stuff here!

Trouble in the Don Callis Family?

Renee Paquette is backstage with Kazuchika Okada. When asked bout the recent tension with Konosuke Takeshita. Okada says Takeshita calls himself the Alpha, but he’s the Rainmaker… bitch!

The Hurt Syndicate is outside with Renee Paquette. MVP accepts Ricochet’s challenge for All Out and confirms he’ll be competing in this trios match.

The time for talking is over…

Adam Copeland comes to the ring to speak to the crowd, but before he can, he’s attacked by FTR. This brings out Christian Cage, who joins in on the brawl. Harwood is busted open by Cage while security tries to separate the four men.

They bring out additional talents from the “Ring of Honor locker room” to help separate things. FTR gives one of them a spike piledriver before Adam Priest gets involved and brawls with Harwood before they are separated again.

A video package airs hyping this Saturday’s match between Daniel Garcia and Jon Moxley.

All Star 8-Man Tag Match: Hangman Page, Kenny Omega, and JetSpeed vs. Kyle Fletcher, Josh Alexander, and the Young Bucks (w/ Don Callis)

  • The finish of this match saw Kyle Fletcher hit Kevin Knight with a Sheerdrop Brainbuster to score the pinfall victory for his team.

Winners: Kyle Fletcher, Josh Alexander, and the Young Bucks

Grade: A+

The rest of the Don Callis Family hit the ring to continue the beatdown following the match. Fletcher hits Hangman with a Sheerdrop brainbuster on a chair. Fletcher follows it up with one on Omega through a table as AEW Dynamite goes off the air.

AEW Dynamite Review:

Another excellent episode of AEW Dynamite from the 2300 Arena. I feel the company has gone above and beyond what was expected from them with this residency so far. The stepped on the pedal from the very beginning tonight and didn’t take it off the entire show. This was great stuff!

Grade: A
