AEW is set to return to Australia in 2026.
The company first debuted in the country on February 15, 2025, with Grand Slam at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. The show featured five matches and ended with Toni Storm defeating Mariah May to win the AEW Women’s Championship.
That debut proved to be historic, as more than 12,000 fans packed the Brisbane venue, making it the third-largest live gate in AEW history at the time. The event later aired as a special episode of AEW Collision drawing viewership of 500,000.
AEW recently confirmed it will be back in Australia in 2026 with two major shows. On February 14, the company will debut in Sydney with AEW Grand Slam: Sydney at Qudos Bank Arena. The next day, AEW will hold an untelevised House Rules event at Brisbane’s Entertainment Centre.
Speaking to Ned Balme of 9News Queensland, Tony Khan confirmed, saying, “February 14 will be AEW Grand Slam: Sydney. We’ll have Grand Slam Australia coming to Sydney. We’re going to have House Rules in Brisbane on February 15.”
Even hometown star and current TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher shared his excitement, saying, “The arena that I first saw professional wrestling in. I was sitting in the nosebleeds, the cheapest tickets possible, literally about three rows from the back. And I remember that night and just falling even more in love with it. So I think, yeah, when I walk into that arena, it’s going to be such a crazy feeling, it’s gonna feel very full circle.”
