On this week’s episode of NXT, the TNA World Champion, Trick Williams, will be wrestling Je’Von Evans to determine the number one contender for Oba Femi’s NXT World Title.
Last night on WWE Raw, Trick Williams made an appearance and was interviewed by Vic Joseph. During the interview, Williams praised Evans but assured fans that he will defeat the Young OG in their match.
“Hey… Look… A friend, a foe, it really don’t make me no nevermind. We all know Je’Von. He is young, he is excited, he is athletic, he likes to fly around. If there’s one word that describes Je’Von, it is ‘Bouncy.’ He’s like that young rookie, new to the team, doing whatever it takes to get on the field. But the truth is, you ain’t ready, dawg. When people come to the zoo, they don’t come to see a gazelle bounce. They come to see a lion like me get up. And if you think I’m gonna lie down for one second, Je’von, just because I like you, then you must be stupid,” Trick Williams said.
As Williams was talking, his opponent, Je’Von Evans, showed up. The TNA World Champion then walked away, claiming that he didn’t want to share the spotlight with anyone. Evans promised that he will defeat Williams on NXT and go on to become the youngest NXT World Champion.
“Yeah, I feel excited. Now, I did walk into Philadelphia with a little butterflies. But now, I got the most confidence than ever. Because, once I beat Trick Willie, in Philadelphia tomorrow night, I will become the youngest NXT Champion in history. And everybody is going to know that that boy is bouncy,” Evans said.
