We’re going to have a little bit less weekly WWE programming moving forward.
WWE Speed premiered on the X (formerly Twitter) platform in April 2024. It ushered in two additional championships for the company. One for the men and one for the women. But it appears this show and those titles have been done away with for the time being.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE Speed is gone for now. The company hasn’t taped any matches for the show in weeks, as it appears the deal with X, where the show was streamed on has likely expired.
When speaking with WWE sources, the general feeling is that no one is talking about the show being shelved because it was viewed as “insignificant.”
The final champions for the show were El Grande Americano and current NXT Women’s North American Champion Sol Ruca.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
