After the match, Kyle Fletcher and Don Callis make their way down the ramp. Fletcher says he didn’t come out there to fight him; he’s not looking to take any cheap shots as he outclasses Dustin in every way. The crowd tells Fletcher to shut the f*ck up. Fletcher says he is rightfully owed a one-on-one match for the TNT Championship.
Fletcher says he wants his match next week. Rhodes asks the crowd if he should give him a shot, and they clearly say no. Rhodes says he’ll give Fletcher a shot next week on Collision in a Chicago Street Fight.
Grade: B+
This was a fun match to kick off the show. Moriarty is a very promising talent for AEW that should be a pretty prominent name for them a few years from now if he can stay healthy. Rhodes continues to prove why he’s so good in the ring as someone who can believably sell anything. I enjoyed this opener a lot.
Tony Schiavone acknowledges the death of Hulk Hogan and AEW sends their condolences to his family, who are suffering right now.

Lexi Nair is backstage with Toni Storm. The AEW Women’s Champion has a bunch of innuendos that I don’t think I’m gonna repeat here. You can just check out the promo for yourself below.
Things are heating up between champions.

Solid tag match. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing incredibly special either. I’m interested in seeing FTR and the Bang Bang Gang go at it again; those two teams always deliver when they face each other.
Can Shane Taylor and Don Callis get along?
Lexy Nair is backstage with Shane Taylor. Before Taylor can say anything, he’s interrupted by Don Callis, who wants STP and the Don Callis Family to take out The Outrunners before they face the Young Bucks on Wednesday in tonight’s $400K 8-man tag. Callis says he’ll get $300K and Shane will get $100K. Taylor tries to dispute that, but Callis quickly leaves.
.@shane216taylor comments on Dustin Rhodes retaining the TNT Title. Meanwhile, @TheDonCallis has his own agenda and wants to strike a “deal.”

Anthony Bowens answers Max Caster’s open challenge.
Max Caster vs. Anthony Bowens (w/ Billy Gunn)
- The finish of the match sees Anthony Bowens hit Max Caster with the Mollywhop to score the pinfall victory.
Winner: Anthony Bowens
After the match, Bowens continues to attack Caster, but Gunn pulls him off Caster. Bowens looks like he’s going to attack Gunn from behind, but storms out instead.
Grade: B+
I normally give these squashes an A+ because they entertain me, but this match didn’t do it for me. They’ve already done it once, and tonight seemed like they want to double turn Caster and Bowens. I don’t love that, but I’ll let this play out and we’ll see where it goes.
$400K 8-Man Tag: Lance Archer, Hechicero, and The Infantry (w/ Shane Taylor and Don Callis) vs. The Outrunners, Hologram, and Tomohiro Ishii
- The finish of this match saw The Outrunners hit Shawn Dean with Total Recall to score the pinfall victory for his team.
Winners: The Outrunners, Hologram, and Tomohiro Ishii

This was kind of all over the place. Ref bumps, outside interference, all that happy horeshit. It was fine, but it wasn’t a match designed for me. And I’m okay with that.
A hype package airs for the AEW World Title rematch between Hangman Page and Jon Moxley next week on Dynamite.

Triangle of Madness (Julia Hart, Skye Blue, and Thekla) vs. Rachael Ellering, Mazzerati, and Laynie Luck
- The finish of the match saw Thekla hit Mazzerati with a stomp to score the pinfall victory for her team.
Winners: Triangle of Madness
After the match, Queen Aminata hits the ring with a steel chair, but Megan Bayne comes out and attacks Aminata from behind before hitting her with a running Liger Bomb.
Grade: N/A
Just a quick squash match to showcase the new trio. There’s really nothing to grade here.
Stokely Hathaway keeps making enemies
Lexy Nair is backstage with Stokely Hathaway, who is flanked by security. Hathaway runs down Adam Copeland for having The Hurt Syndicate fight his battles for him. He then targets the Bang Bang Gang and runs down Austin Gunn and Juice Robinson ahead of their match with FTR next week. Hathaway stops using the crutch, and Nair questions if he’s actually hurt. He stares her down before using the crutch again to walk away.
Big Stoke isn’t holding back.

Kyle O’Reilly interrupts a locker room promo from Hologram and Tomohiro Ishii. O’Reilly tries to get Roderick Strong involved, who doesn’t seem to want anything to do with it. O’Reilly seems to want to be in both Paragon and the Conglomeration at the same time.

This was a fun tag team match. I’m curious how long Christian Cage is going to be off television before he comes back looking for revenge. I also wonder if we’ve seen the last of the turtleneck, but I digress.
The seemingly never-ending frienemy feud
Renee Paquette is backstage with Kris Statlander. Paquette asks her if she has something to say about Willow Nightingale, and Statlander is overly obnoxious with her response. Statlander says she knows Nightingale wants to move on and start fresh, but thinks she would have thanked her first. Statlander thanks Nightingale for reminding her that she doesn’t need her to be who she is.
I gotta say, I was into this a few months ago when I thought it was leading to these two getting back together and potentially going for the AEW Women’s Tag Titles, but since that hasn’t happened, this has dragged on to a level that I’m just over it. Can they both just move on already… please?

After the match, Starkz and Athena attack Windsor, which brings out Toni Storm to even the odds. Storm and Windsor stand tall as AEW Collision goes off the air.
AEW Collision Results:
This was a middle-of-the-road show for me. While there was some solid and enjoyable wrestling, this episode fell into a trap Collision stumbled into last year, where if you missed this show, that’s okay because almost nothing of note happened.
AEW really needs to focus on making sure moments happen on this show to give people a reason to tune in every week. I understand this is a secondary show to Dynamite, but the show is also as important as you book it to be.
I hope this isn’t a sign of where this show is going because there’s been a ton of great episodes of Collision this year, and this wasn’t one of them.
