John Cena Names His Mount Rushmore

Ask John Cena and you shall receive.

Mount Rushmore is a national memorial in the Black Hills of South Dakota. It features massive 60-foot sculptures of former U.S. Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln carved on the side of the rock face.

The ‘Mount Rushmore’ debate is often used to determine the four best subjects in a respective category. It can be used for determining someone’s personal best pro football players, best breakfast cereals and best childhood toys, among other topics.

This also extends to pro wrestling, as many fans and content creators often use the question to ask pro wrestlers to name their personal picks for a wrestling-themed Mount Rushmore. During a recent appearance at Fan Expo Denver, one fan asked John Cena to name his ‘Mount Rushmore of Professional Wrestling.”

Cena took a moment to think about it before giving his answer, which he clearly had fun with.

“Mount Rushmore is… Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Roosevelt,” John Cena deadpanned, holding up four fingers on his hand. “That is my Mount Rushmore.”

The response got a light laugh from the audience, who clearly enjoyed Cena’s humorous retort.

Does John Cena actually have a Mount Rushmore of wrestling?

John Cena has answered the question in the past, although it was framed in a slightly different way. Cena told Chris Van Vliet that his four “GOATs” of pro wrestling were Hulk Hogan, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Rock and Roman Reigns, singling out Reigns for the new heights he’s been able to take WWE.

John Cena will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam. The event will take place over two nights on August 2 and 3 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
