TNA shared an unfortunate injury update on Elijah at Slammiversary.
The former WWE Superstar Elijah got injured during the June 17 episode of WWE NXT. He teamed up with Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura to beat AJ Francis, Trick Williams, and Wes Lee. During the match, Elijah jumped off the top rope and hit a double knee move.
He used his arms when he jumped off the top which caused a torn triceps. TNA first confirmed his injury on the June 21 episode of Impact. Reports later revealed that Elijah had left the match with an arm injury and that he had torn his triceps during the landing.
At TNA Slammiversary, Bioflex gave an update on Elijah, KC Navarro, and Trey Miguel. It was confirmed that former WWE Superstar recently had surgery and is currently recovering. The report said he’s doing well after the surgery but will need around six to eight months of rehabilitation before he can return to action in the ring.
The report also shared Trey Miguel will miss Slammiversary due to a hernia injury. Myron Reed replaced him in the TNA Tag Team Title ladder match, teaming with Zachary Wentz. KC Navarro, who had a knee injury, was been cleared to compete in the TNA Tag Team Titles ladder match.
