Seth Rollins Injury Causes Multiple Changes To WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

Seth Rollins injured his knee on Saturday, and that resulted in a few changes in WWE’s plans.

Rollins was injured at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event this weekend. His match with LA Knight went to an improvised finish that saw Knight beat Rollins after hitting him with a quick BFT. This was an audible called in the ring after Rollins was checked out by a ringside doctor.

The injury not only caused a change in the result of the match, but also affected the timing of some of the segments that followed it. According to a new report from Fightful (via Fightful Select), one of the audibles included the main event, as well as Goldberg’s post-match speech getting cut off.

The NBC broadcast ended up getting cut off during the speech. This was due to the NBC broadcast needing to end at 10 pm EST. Fans watching that feed didn’t see Goldberg’s full speech. This was obviously unintentional, and many within WWE felt bad that it happened. According to one source, at least one higher-up in WWE apologized to Goldberg for it.

WWE moved quickly to post Goldberg’s full speech online, which was shared in full on WWE’s social media channels on Sunday.

Seth Rollins’ injury is said to be legit. Triple H also gave an update on Rollins’ condition after WWE Evolution on Sunday night.
