Pro wrestlers from WWE and AEW often get hate from fans, even though they risk their bodies every time they step in the ring.
CryptoManiaks Sports used social media tools to track what fans are saying online about the sports athletes. They looked at posts, comments, and mentions to find out which athletes across major sports leagues get the most negative comments.
They analyzed over 4 million posts from X, formerly known as Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, and Instagram. Their report lists the top 15 most targeted athletes across football, the NBA, the NFL, and professional wrestling.
In the pro wrestlers category, Charlotte Flair topped the list with 36.4% of her mentions being negative. She was followed closely by Nia Jax (35.3%) and Mercedes Moné (29.6%). Other names on the list include CM Punk, Saraya, Tegan Nox, Chris Jericho Cora Jade and The Young Bucks.
The report highlights the level of abuse many pro wrestlers face online, despite the physical risks they take to entertain fans.

Many fans over the years harass female wrestlers by demanding autographs at airports, stalking them, or sending unwanted gifts to their homes. Fans must respect the fact that wrestlers are people too. When they step out of the ring, they have personal lives and deserve privacy and respect just like anyone else.
Charlotte Flair recently addressed critics ripping her for “always” being in the title picture, and said there’s something they don’t understand about being in that position.
