JBL Believes The Undertaker Could Wrestle Again, Has One Opponent In Mind

WWE Hall of Famer JBL believes The Undertaker isn’t done just yet and could step back into the ring for one more match.

The Undertaker last competed at WrestleMania 36 in 2020, where he defeated AJ Styles in a cinematic Boneyard Match on Night One. WWE later honored his legendary career that same year at Survivor Series.

Since retiring, The Undertaker has made multiple appearances on WWE television and even got physical during a few segments. The Deadman had also talked about how hard it was to be around wrestling after retiring.

However, on a recent episode of Something To Wrestle, JBL said he believes The Undertaker could wrestle again.

“I would think it’d be a possibility. He looks great. I mean, he looks great, and he’s in terrific shape. And I know the type of training, he’s doing a lot of functional training…not just, you know, training, like going and doing some bench press, some squats, you know, the old power lifting, lifts that we all did… So his body’s moving well, he’s, you know, he can, I feel like he probably could still move or move as well as he’s done for 20 years. I mean, I think that’d be great to I’d love to see him come back for something.”

JBL calls Gunther vs. The Undertaker a perfect match if a return happens

JBL said he would love to see The Undertaker return for one more match and believes Gunther would be the perfect opponent. “It would be awesome, you know. And the thing is, Gunther is an easy choice. You need a big, tough guy that can wrestle, that knows his way around, and you need a guy that can get heat on Undertaker, you know, you need, you know, Undertaker is a big guy, and he looks great now, and he’s still a really big guy. You need a guy like GUNTHER that can get heat on it. And so it makes perfect sense that GUNTHER would be the guy if Taker looking for somebody to come back.” [H/T: WrestlingNews]

The Undertaker has mentioned on several occasions that he’s a fan of Gunther’s work. The Deadman has already come out of retirement once could he do it again to face the Ring General? Only time will tell.
