Report: The Latest On WWE SmackDown Moving Back To Two Hours

Will WWE SmackDown ever go back to the two-hour format on USA Network?

Earlier this year, when WWE SmackDown became a three-hour show on the USA Network, we were told it was only temporary. Multiple reports suggested the show would revert to the two-hour format in June. But as we approach July, the format of the show remains unchanged. So what’s going on with WWE‘s Friday night show?

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained why there are no plans for WWE SmackDown to lose the third hour anytime soon.

“For whatever reason, they made the call that it wasn’t worth it,” Dave Meltzer explained. “I think they realized that hour three is going to do triple of anything that they’re going to put on in that show. SmackDown is so far and away the biggest show on that station. So, yeah, they’re not making the move, at least for the foreseeable future.” [H/T: WrestlingNews.co]
