ECW legend Tommy Dreamer found himself on the receiving end of a brutal attack by Mance Warner during the latest episode of TNA Impact.
The incident occurred after Mance Warner and Steph De Lander came out to address Warner’s loss to Steve Maclin at TNA Against All Odds. The pair claimed they were “robbed” of the TNA International Championship.
Steph De Lander stated that she and Warner are the only ones doing any “screwing around” in TNA. Things took a tense turn when Mance Warner became visibly agitated and got in the face of a TNA production assistant. As several backstage officials came out to calm Warner, he still appeared visibly upset.
Tommy Dreamer then stepped onto the stage, seemingly trying to defuse the situation. As he approached Steph De Lander, Warner saw an opening. He tossed his cap and launched a vicious attack on Dreamer.
The two briefly brawled before Warner delivered a devastating suplex on the stage. Officials tried to pull Warner away, but he delivered a running knee strike to Dreamer’s head, knocking him out cold. As officials scrambled to regain control, Steph De Lander kissed Warner, and the pair walked off, leaving Dreamer motionless on the stage.
Following the brutal attack, Director of Authority Santino Marella, who previously suspended Mike Santana for his actions at TNA Against All Odds, now has another tough decision ahead. It will be interesting to see what action he takes against Warner for attacking Tommy Dreamer.
