WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is known mostly for his commentary. He has had a legendary career. He’s been a part of the National Wrestling Alliance, World Championship Wrestling, World Wrestling Entertainment, and is currently in All Elite Wrestling. He has been in the professional wrestling business for over five decades.
But did you know that in the earlier stages of his career, Jim Ross was a referee?
Alan Cheapshot took to Twitter to share an old picture of the WWE Hall of Famer when he was a referee. “Jim Ross, aged 22 as a referee for LeRoy McGuirk’s Oklahoma/Louisiana territory in 1974,” Alan Cheapshot tweeted.

Ross recently took to Twitter to announce that he was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. He also mentioned that a surgery has been scheduled to be taking place in the next couple of weeks.
“Diagnosed this week with colon cancer,” Ross said on Twitter. “Surgery being scheduled in the next week or two. I appreciate your concern and support.”
