Alexa Bliss made her return to WWE and reflected on her comeback, expressing gratitude for the support she received.
After returning at the Royal Rumble and competing at Elimination Chamber earlier this year, Bliss took time off before making her in-ring return on May 9 edition of WWE SmackDown. She surprised fans by teaming up with Zelina Vega in a tag team match against Chelsea Green and Piper Niven. Bliss secured the win for her team by hitting Green with the Sister Abigail DDT.
Following her return last Friday on SmackDown, Alexa Bliss defeated Chelsea Green and Michin to qualify for this year’s Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Now that she has secured her spot, Bliss shared that she’s feeling good after competing in back-to-back matches.
In an interview with TMZ, Alexa Bliss shared that she’s feeling good after returning to in-ring action, despite picking up a few bruises. She said, “Great, I got a couple of bruises but I’m good.” She also mentioned that WWE has been incredibly supportive, especially when it comes to bringing her child, “They’ve been so great about bringing her on the road. She’s got her own like setup when we go, and she loves it.”
Reflecting on her extended time away from the ring, Alexa Bliss appreciated having a full year with her daughter. She also praised WWE for being so understanding and helping her adjust to being a new mom. She mentioned, “Oh, they were great about it. I got a whole year with her and it was fantastic.”
Since returning, Alexa Bliss had an interesting backstage exchange with Charlotte Flair. On SmackDown Flair dismissed their past, claiming they weren’t close, despite Bliss recalling how Flair once supported her in NXT.
