WWE Superstar CM Punk says he doesn’t hate going to Saudi Arabia.
CM Punk recently went live on Instagram and answered fan questions during a Q&A session. One fan asked him why he hates going to Saudi Arabia. Punk gave an interesting answer, claiming he doesn’t hate the country.
“I don’t hate coming to Saudi, I’ve never been to Saudi,” CM Punk said.

Why do people think CM Punk hates Saudi Arabia?
CM Punk’s remarks are notable due to his past remarks about WWE’s relationship with Saudi Arabia. Before his return to WWE in 2023, Punk claimed he would never perform at an event there, and infamously took a major shot at The Miz over the topic.
During his return to WWE Backstage, Punk famously stated that he was there to “change the culture.” Miz later took a dig at him and mocked the “change the culture” line. This resulted in Punk telling Miz to “go suck a blood money covered dick in Saudi Arabia you fucking dork.” Punk ultimately deleted the post, and Miz has said that Punk apologized for the response.
CM Punk has never performed at any of WWE’s events in Saudi Arabia. He was injured at the time of WWE King and Queen of the Ring 2024. However, he was written off television ahead of Crown Jewel to recover from the damage he took in Hell In A Cell against Drew McIntyre.
That may change this year, however, as Punk was advertised for the upcoming WWE Night of Champions premium live event in Saudi Arabia on June 28.
CM Punk returned to RAW for the first time since WrestleMania this week, and is now booked to compete in a major tag team match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 24. Check out everything that went down on WWE RAW here.
