Last week, several professional wrestlers were released from WWE. The list included some of the top names, such as Dakota Kai, Cora Jade, Shayna Baszler, Gigi Dolin, and many more. Among them was former Universal Champion Braun Strowman. The Monster Among Men being released seems to have left the Death Match King Matt Cardona a little baffled.
While speaking on the recent episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast, Matt Cardona shared that he doesn’t understand why the Monster Among Men was released by the Stamford-based promotion. He claimed that Strowman is an ideal professional wrestler and at the same time, also works hard and puts over the new generation of ‘Monsters’ such as Bronson Reed. Cardona also mentioned that Strowman could have been released due to some backstage issue which he might not be aware of.
“That’s something I just don’t see. There must be something that’s going on that I don’t know about. I mean, you look at Braun Strowman, you hear that airport test all the time. This guy passes the anything test. He’s a monster. And I think lately, he’s been putting in some of his best work, especially putting over the new generation of big men. So I don’t know. I haven’t been there in five years, I can’t speak to what’s going on backstage and what he’s doing backstage. But that was definitely a shocker to me on that list,” Matt Cardona said.
