It sounds like we might not see Brian Cage back in an AEW ring for quite some time.
Back in March, it was believed that Brian Cage suffered a knee injury that sidelined him from AEW action. However, it sounds like things are much more serious than we initially thought.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Cage’s knee injury is actually a torn quad. This kind of injury can put a wrestler on the shelf for almost a year. Despite that, Meltzer reports that Cage intends to come back quicker.
The injury occurred at an independent show against Chris Masters in Los Angeles. Cage’s leg buckled during a spinebuster, and that’s where the injury took place.
On behalf of everyone here at WrestleZone, we wish Brian Cage a quick and painless recovery.
