Ryan Nemeth’s Lawsuit Against AEW Moving To Private Arbitration

Former AEW wrestler and current TNA Wrestling star Ryan Nemeth had filed a lawsuit against All Elite Wrestling, its President Tony Khan, and former AEW World Heavyweight Champion and current WWE Superstar CM Punk. The lawsuit alleges assault, a breach of contract, and breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing and intentional interference with prospective advantage.

Prior to filing the lawsuit, Nemeth had revealed that he had issues in AEW, which he expressed to the AEW executives. While speaking to BodySlam.net, Nemeth explained that his complaints were not resolved.

“That will probably be going on for as long as things take to go on for. It is by no means resolved in any way at all, but I hope it will be someday. I’m very confident that it will be,” Nemeth said.

Now, while speaking to Brandon Thurston of POST Wrestling, Ryan Nemeth’s lawyer, Mike Caspino, had shared that there has been no settlement for the lawsuit. However, both parties have agreed to a private arbitration.

An arbitration is a private process in which disputes between the parties will be resolved by a neutral third party.

“There has been no settlement,” Caspino wrote to POST Wrestling via email. “The parties have agreed to submit the matter to arbitration.”

Nemeth last worked for AEW in November 2023. Since then, he has wrestled for TNA and various independent wrestling companies. Nemeth was most recently involved in a storyline feud with his brother, Nic, against the Hardys.

Do you think Ryan Nemeth and AEW will compromise and resolve their issues?
