Back in January fans were in shock when the TNA Digital Media Champion at the time, PCO smashed the Championship at “The People vs. GCW.” PCO had just competed in and won the pre-show Rumble. After the match, he smashed the TNA Digital Media Championship. Following the event PCO, left TNA as well. Recently, former WWE Superstar Steph De Lander shared what she told PCO following the incident.
While speaking to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Steph De Lander shared that she was initially baffled by everything that had happened and was unsure if PCO was working an angle or if he was being his real self. She then shared that she went and spoke with her kayfabe husband.
“I just spoke to him for a few minutes, and I was just basically what I just said to you. was like, ‘Look, I absolutely loved working with you. I’m so glad we got to have the storyline that we had at TNA. I don’t really know what’s going on right now, but I want you to know that I love and respect you as a performer. I’m very happy with how everything went. There’s no ill will here. I want the best for you, and I’m glad we got to work together.’
Steph De Lander only wants the best for PCO
“I don’t know where this goes from here, but I need him to know that I really loved working with him, and whatever weirdness is going on between anyone or any companies or whatever, I’m just sitting here saying, ‘I love working with you.’ So I’m glad that I at least got to have that moment. But yeah, at the time I was like, ‘What?’ Even straight after, I was like, ‘I don’t know what I’m about to walk into, I don’t know what mood he’s gonna be [in], I don’t know what’s going on.’ I walk around the corner, he’s got the biggest smile on his face, and I was like, ‘Oh, okay.’ I was like, ‘As long as you feel okay, then I just want the best for you,’” Steph De Lander said.
Steph De Lander also mentioned that she had spoken with Tommy Dreamer on what was going to happen next. She mentioned that she sees this as poetic justice as now she has the opportunity to work with her real-life boyfriend, Mance Warner.
