The WWE NXT Universe isn’t willing to drop a particular chant involving Tony Khan anytime soon, it seems.
During last night’s NXT broadcast, Ricky Saints defeated Shawn Spears to claim the North American Championship. However, Saints’ celebration was cut short with an attack by Ethan Page.
The angle was met with “Tony fumbled” chants from the live crowd as the show went off the air.

This isn’t the first time NXT fans have hijacked a segment with anti-Tony Khan chants. They previously taunted the AEW owner during a segment that also featured Page and Saints.
Ricky Saints and “All Ego” Ethan Page both arrived in NXT after a multi-year run with All Elite Wrestling. Saints (fka Ricky Starks) is a former multi-time champion in Tony Khan’s promotion. As for Page, his AEW run ended without a championship reign.
Ricky Saints’ title win main evented Tuesday night’s live broadcast of NXT from Orlando. Saints set up his win over Shawn Spears after hitting a spear. He got the pinfall victory after hitting the Rochambeau to capture the North American Title.
This week’s episode of NXT also featured a surprising announcement from Stephanie Vaquer, as well as an in-depth look at the new Darkstate stable.
