Sheamus went to great lengths to acquire one of his favorite beers.
Sheamus is a huge fan of Guinness beer. He’s Irish, and Guinness is Irish, so it makes sense. What doesn’t make sense, however, is why the brand’s NitroSurge canned beer isn’t available in the United States. The WWE Superstar recently told SportsJOE how he brings some home with him every time he travels to Europe.
“Every time I come over here, I get like two big, empty suitcases with me. I stick a load of Guinness Nitro in there,” Sheamus said. “You can’t get it in the States, just the regular cans.”
Sheamus said he was once flagged at the airport for the contents of his bags, which he estimated as 60 cans of beer that were taped up to protect them from being damaged.
“One time I was going back and I literally had like 60 cans of Guinness Nitro, all taped up and all [in] the two bags,” he explained. “The customs guy stops me and goes, ‘Anything to declare? Cigarettes or alcohol?’ I says, ‘Eh, well I have a few cans of Guinness.’ And he looks at the screen, obviously sees the 60 cans of Guinness. Looks back [at me] and he goes, ‘A few cans, ya?’ And I said, ‘Yeah, that’ll probably last me the weekend if I’m lucky.”
Sheamus then the customs agent “just laughed and let me straight through with 60 cans of Guinness.” Mission accomplished, and sláinte!

Sheamus recently made his return to the ring, his first appearance since the 2025 Royal Rumble match. He challenged Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental title in Belfast, and again at a live event in England. For whatever reason, Sheamus also responded to some fan questions on social media, including one who asked how his poops are on a carnivore diet.
