Tom Pestock has taken to Twitter to comment on his debut match in GCW last night.
The man formerly known as Baron Corbin was released from the WWE at the end of last year. This ended his 12-year tenure with the company that saw him win multiple titles, including the Money in the Bank briefcase.
He quickly reverted to his real name, Tom Pestock, and booked a date with GCW. The former WWE Superstar debuted with the company at The People vs. GCW last night. The show took place at the Hammerstein Ballroom and saw him face Josh Barnett in a Bloodsport match.
The ropes were removed from the ring and the pair fought in a faux-MMA style match. Barnett forced Tom Pestock to tap out to a leg bar, even though the former WWE star was a crowd favorite in the Hammerstein Ballroom that night.
Following his defeat in his first match on the indies since leaving WWE, Tom Pestock took to Twitter to talk about the GCW crowd. He called them “Wild animals” and vowed to come back to GCW in the future to perform for them again.
“Yo the @GCWrestling_crowd was so dope!! I will defn be back you wild f-ing animals,” he wrote.
