Suzu Suzuki will be Saya Kamitani’s first challenger for the highly coveted World of Stardom Championship.
At STARDOM’s recent Korakuen Hall show this past January 13, Saya Kamitani, Azusa Inaba, and Rina (H.A.T.E.) defeated Suzu Suzuki, Starlight Kid, and Miyu Amasaki (NEO GENESIS) in six-woman tag team action. After the match, Saya Kamitani took the microphone to address Suzu Suzuki’s championship intentions. The champion herself set the date for the championship match for Sunday, February 2 at Korakuen Hall. STARDOM will host Supreme Fight 2025 on this day.
The “Phenex Queen” taunted Suzu Suzuki, referring to her as a servant as she instructed her to kiss her boot. Suzu seemed to abide at first before proceeding to bite Saya Kamitani’s boot instead.
This upcoming matchup will be Suzuki’s fourth shot at the World of Stardom belt in her career. She first challenged for the belt in February 2023 during Giulia’s reign. She also headlined Dream Queendom that same year against Maika for the vacant championship. Her most recent challenge was this past October 2024 against Tam Nakano at Nagoya Golden Fight. Unfortunately, Suzu Suzuki has yet to capture the red belt in her career.
Furthermore, the last time a World of Stardom Championship match took place at Korakuen Hall was for the JTO 5th Anniversary Show where Maika defended against Tomoka Inaba back in August last year. However, STARDOM has not had a red belt title match in Korakuen Hall on one of their shows since 2021 with Utami Hayashishita defending against Maika.
