B3cca and Gabby Forza heap praise for Aaron Rourke.
On November 9, Aaron Rourke and B3cca, together known as GBFs, defeated Gabby Forza and Bulk Bronson at Beyond Wrestling’s Pop Culture event. Five days later, Rourke earned a WWE ID contract at Wrestling Open, making him an official prospect in WWE’s new recruiting program.
WrestleZone’s Ella Jay recently sat down with B3cca and Gabby Forza, both of whom have worked closely with “The Dime Piece” in and outside the ring. According to B3cca and Forza, his WWE ID signing is more than deserved.
“[Rourke] has been the most entertaining, interesting wrestler on the Indies in the past few years, in my opinion,” B3cca said. “He’s so athletic, he’s so talented, and he’s also just a great person. And I think seeing somebody like that get recognition and get more fans and more support is just the best. He also inspires me to stay true to myself and who I am as a performer. I think this industry puts a lot of pressure on people to conform and change if they want to succeed. At least that’s how it seems. But I think that is completely backwards, because the thing that is so amazing about wrestling is that it has contrast. It has different people with different aesthetics and different ideas, different moves.
“And I think just because something is trending one way in popularity doesn’t mean that in the next few months something else won’t. You don’t have to conform. You don’t have to give up parts of yourself and you can really shine being who you are. He has done that. I’ve never met anyone who’s so just like, nope, screw everyone else, I’m me. And I’m not going to hide who I am. I’m proud of who I am.”
In addition to Rourke’s unapologetic sense of self, B3cca also remains inspired by advocation that he has extended toward the women of the New England pro wrestling scene. According to B3cca, Rourke has opened up many match opportunities for them that may not have otherwise been there.
“He said, ‘I want to wrestle the girls,’ I will always be grateful to him for that. He will always inspire me. And I think his impact is just beginning; it’s going to he’s going to be huge,” B3cca added.
Gabby Forza Is Immensely Proud of Aaron Rourke
According to Gabby Forza, Rourke’s WWE ID signing was long overdue. Nevertheless, she’s immensely proud of her recent opponent, whom she also considers a good friend.
“He is the best. He deserves it more than anyone I could possibly think of,” Forza said. “Even if you just look at his year leading up to that, it’s like, if he wasn’t amazing, you were wondering like when is that person going to make it? It was just meant to be. It was meant to happen. I’m so happy this opportunity is presented to people like Bryce Donovan, Aaron Rourke. It’s so overdue, so I’m very proud of him.
“He was prepared for the opportunity. He got the opportunity and always knocks it out of the park. And knowing that we were his last match before the announcement means a lot.”
