CJ Perry, formerly known as Lana, is excited about her close friend Liv Morgan‘s success.
In an interview with Jordan Mendoza for USA TODAY, CJ Perry commented on Liv Morgan’s current run, which has seen her win the Women’s World Championship and go viral for her suggestive interactions with Dominik Mysterio on WWE RAW.
“She’s in the perfect casting. She’s an incredible worker, she’s an incredible athlete,” CJ Perry said. “At the end of the day, professional wrestling is scripted television, where we want to believe what you’re doing is real, and she’s the hot girl. We love her. Those are exciting stories to tell on television.”
CJ Perry: Liv Morgan’s Storyline Shows That We Need Everything
CJ Perry also highlighted how Morgan’s storyline showed that the women’s division needed everything, as it was different than the typical competition between competitors.
“Women need to be represented, and yes we are different than men,” she said. “But we bring value. We can sell tickets. I mean look at Liv Morgan right now. It shows you that we need everything. We need the competitors, we need the badasses, we need the love stories and there’s a spot for everyone.”
